New School Year, New Site!

Here we are, entering the ‘21-’22 school year, and things are just chugging right along! We may be exiting summer, but this is when our academic year begins and here is a small update on where we are:

New students are currently in the process of securing time slots, returning students have submitted most of their preferences, and recent graduates are moving into their new homes at college. It is always a little bittersweet saying these goodbyes, because simultaneously we are saying hello to all new faces.

Over the summer I was privileged to see several students perform in multiple ways. Student recitals are always a blessing, and this year was especially important since last year we all could not be in the same room as each other. Students in musicals also did not disappoint; alumni and current students even shared the stage in the Theatre Winter Haven production of Once On This Island.

I am also in the process of building multiple props for various costumes, including a full proton pack for a Ghostbusters Halloween costume, and progress on that may just show up here.

While masks are still being used, more faces are visible than last year, and that is nice feeling. Please continue being safe out there, practice good hygiene, do what you can to help others, and before you know it we will have overcome this thing.
